Vishavjit Singh is a New York City-based TEDx speaker, illustrator, performance artist, storyteller, and creator of www.Sikhtoons.com. He got his spark for cartooning in the post-9/11 tragedy when Americans with turbaned and bearded countenances became targets of hate/bias crimes.

For the past few years, he has traveled across the US with his Captain America persona armed with a turban, beard, and humor to tackle fear, anxiety, bigotry, and intolerance. He hosts talks & keynotes in schools, universities, government agencies, and companies including Google, Apple, Amazon, NASA & Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus.

He is the subject of widely acclaimed documentary films including Drawn Together: Comics Diversity and Stereotypes and Red White & Beard. His first short animation film, Animation Sikh has been on the film festival circuit winning awards and honorable mentions. His message and work have been covered by diverse news outlets, including The New York Times, NPR, BBC, The Atlantic, Huffington Post, The Guardian, and Time Magazine.
