She found faith in prison, freedom from addiction
Ashley spent more than a decade as a meth addict, according to Prison Fellowship, an organization which works to bring restoration and hope to prisoners, families, and communities impacted by crime and incarceration.
After landing in prison, she joined the Prison Fellowship Academy, which shows men and women in prison how the Gospel can transform their lives. That’s when Ashley realized she had to do something different and began focusing on a path of faith.
“[After joining the Prison Fellowship Academy] the main thing I learned was to get your value from Jesus…He loves us, and He will meet us right where we’re” she says.
Now a graduate of the Academy, Ashley is now out of prison and planning to intern with Prison Fellowship.
