Next Steps: So You Filmed Your Faith, Now What?
You filmed your faith, entered it into our contest, prayed, and sought the holy texts. Now you’re probably wondering what’s next. Here’s a brief look at the next stage of the contest.
1) Help vote for your Fan Favorite
Once the contest officially closes at midnight on Friday, March 1, the Faith Counts team will work on selecting and announcing the top 10 finalists in the contest. Then you’ll be able to use your voice not just to share your faith story, but to vote for your Fan Favorite on FaithCounts.com between March 15-29. Look for dates and details on @myfaithcounts across social media.
The Fan Favorite Winner will receive $10,000 and will be chosen based on the results of the popular vote.
2) Await the judges’ picks
Faith Counts’ diverse panel of multi-faith judges will then choose two additional winners. The Honorable Mention Winner will receive $2,500 and the Grand Prize Winner will receive $20,000! The Fan Favorite and Honorable Mention winners will be announced and interviewed on Faith Counts social channels, while the Grand Prize winner will be announced during the Religion News Conference in Pittsburgh on Friday, April 19. 3) Have a positive attitude
Whether or not you win a prize, you have already won the gift of courageous faith. Every single one of us has a voice that needs to be heard in this world and stepped out on faith and shared yours. This within itself is priceless. We hope you will continue sharing unique and inspiring faith stories.
